Throughout the year our firefighters spend countless hours continually training, keeping up with changing trends in the fire service and expanding our skill set. We often use the warmer months to work on marine operations on Peach Lake and other bodies of water, practice water supply/pump operations at simulated fire scenes and focus on driver training. Driver training gives us the opportunity to ensure firefighters are well versed in the operation of different types of apparatus, have a good understanding of fireground tactics and are familiar with locations throughout town.
