Rollover with Entrapment

At 10:50 a.m. on Monday, April 20th the Croton Falls Fire Department was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle rollover with entrapment on Titicus Road in the area of Delancey Road.

Units were on scene within minutes and confirmed a single vehicle on its roof with a person entrapped. Engine 149, responding from Station 2, was the first Croton Falls FD unit on scene and immediately went to work. Car 2072 arrived on scene next, assumed Titicus Road Command, and advised there were 2 patients. One patient was out of the vehicle in care of NSVAC and a second patient was entrapped. Patient 1 was transported by a Westchester EMS ALS unit to Danbury Hospital. After a prolonged extrication, patient 2 was transported by NSVAC and a Westchester EMS paramedic to Danbury Hospital as well.

The roadway remained closed while the vehicle was removed.
