On Sunday January 10, 2016 at 09:54am the Croton Falls Fire Department responded to John Jay Middle School to assist the South Salem Fire Department, which was dispatched to the school for an automatic fire alarm and found a smoke condition in the building upon arrival.

Croton Falls responded with Ladder 67 and was assigned by South Salem command to ladder the front of the school so crews could access the roof top mechanical units.
