Busiest year ever!

The Croton Falls Fire Department had its busiest year in Department history, 751 alarms!

Our responses ranged from structure fires to motor vehicle accidents to carbon monoxide investigations to medical emergencies. Our 2022 responses topped the 742 alarms answered in 2018.

Additionally, firefighters spent time training each week and supporting community activities throughout the year. Community outreach included events such as our annual fire prevention visits to schools, attended numerous events hosted by organizations including the North Salem Historical Society and the Ruth Keeler Memorial Library. Had our open house in October. Also we’re out and about conducting recruitment and a few of our local businesses. Volunteers are always needed. Feel free to stop by on a Monday night and see what we do.

Our firefighters continue to answer alarms 24/7 in town, and in support of our neighboring fire departments, and in various weather conditions.

Here's to a happy, healthy, and SAFE New Year to all!
