Brush Fire in Southeast

Croton Falls Firefighters received a request for a tanker to respond to Brewster for a large area brush fire today. The Brewster Fire Department arrived to find a 500’ by 500’ area burning with fire rapidly spreading due to high wind conditions. Tanker 8 responded to the scene and assisted with water supply, while firefighters assisted with fireground operations. Units operated for about one hour prior to being released by Brewster Fire Command.
