This morning at 03:33 hours, Croton Falls Fire was dispatched to a reported transformer explosion on Route 22 near Croton Falls Station 1. Moments later, units were re-dispatched for a motor vehicle accident with injuries and a car fire at the same location. Upon arrival of 2073, it was determined that a vehicle struck a telephone pole causing the pole and wires to come down in the roadway. E149 and MA17 stretched a hose line to prevent the fire from spreading, while E148 and R28 provided assistance with road closures. T88 stood by for additional water if needed.

At 03:51 hours, units were dispatched to the area of the Croton Falls Train Station for a reported brush fire. E148 responded and cleared the train station as no fire was found. While at the train station, units were dispatched to Croton Falls Road for a brush fire. E148 responded and were met with Somers FD cars 2442, 2443, and E180. E148 stretched a hose line and extinguished the brush fire in the woods prior to clearing and responding back to the Route 22 incident. Cars 2442 and 2443 assisted while E180 returned in service.

At 04:15 hours, units were dispatched to Interstate 684 for a reported brush fire. T88 responded and determined the incident to be unfounded. All CFFD units remained on scene at the Route 22 incident for three hours before returning in service. Members handled 6 fire calls this morning while manning numerous pieces of apparatus.
