On Thursday afternoon at 15:22 hours, Cars 2072, 2073, and Rescue 28 responded to a high-speed motor vehicle accident on Route 22 down the street from Fire Headquarters. Car 2073 arrived with a vehicle off the roadway and into a tree. The vehicle was secured and the patient was transported by NSVAC to an area trauma center. Shortly after clearing Route 22, Croton Falls Fire responded to Interstate 684 Northbound for a multi-car motor vehicle accident. Rescue 28 arrived with 2072 and found three vehicles involved blocking the center and right lanes. Due to the amount of injuries, multiple Westchester EMS medics were dispatched along with NSVAC, two BLS units from Somers EMS, AMR, and standby coverage from Lewisboro EMS. Car 2073 and Engine 148 secured two of the vehicles involved as Utility 28 provided additional patient care while awaiting EMS units. All patients were transported to a local trauma center and Croton Falls cleared after an hour of operating.
