On Sunday, January 1, 2017, the Croton Falls Fire Department had its new chiefs sworn in for the new year. Mark Morin, chairman of the Croton Falls Fire District Board of Commissioners, administered the oath of office to Daniel Dreyer (incoming Chief), Trish Gallagher (incoming 1st Assistant Chief) and Sean Partenio (incoming 2nd Assistant Chief).

Jason Blauvelt, Chief of the Department in 2014-2016, joins a distinguished group of ex-chiefs who have led the Department. During his command tenure the Department responded to over 1,900 calls, upgraded apparatus and equipment, strengthened ties with mutual aid agencies and welcomed new members to increase the ranks.

We thank Chief Blauvelt for his dedication to the Department and service to the North Salem community, and wish the new chiefs well as they lead the Department in the new year.
