| During our weekly drill on Monday February 26, 2018, firefighters trained on structure fire operations. Using the North Salem firehouse for different scenarios, our training included hoseline advancement, search, ladder company operations, communications, incident command and safety.
Firefighters “responded” and drilled as though there was a fire at the firehouse in each scenario. The engine crew stretched hoselines to extinguish the “fire” while the ladder crew performed searches and used the truck's aerial and ground ladders to ladder the roof. |
