| On Saturday, November 7, 2015, the Croton Falls Fire Department closed the doors of their One Front Street firehouse for the last time. The members lined up outside of the old firehouse and saluted, while the flag detail lowered and removed the American flag. The flag and fire apparatus were included in the parade of members who marched along Route 22 to the new firehouse located at One Sun Valley Drive.
The department was led down the parade route by the North Salem High School marching band and arrived to a large crowd who came out to support the fire department and visit their new home. Upon arrival at the new firehouse, the American flag was raised and a blessing was issued by Pastor Timothy Wagner.
The official ribbon cutting which was performed by Fire Commissioner Chairman Angelo D'Agostino, President Jeff Daday Sr. and Chief Jason Blauvelt officially opened the doors for visitors to explore the new firehouse which includes a modern dispatch room, training room and fitness room. |
