On Thursday evening, CFFD was dispatched to a possible chimney fire on Titicus Road. While all three Chiefs were en route, WCDES provided additional information resulting in a redispatch for an active chimney fire.

Car 2072 arrived on scene with smoke throughout the second floor. Ladder 67 arrived on scene and positioned in the driveway, while Engine 148 arrived and positioned in front of the structure. Engine 148’s crew extinguished the fire in the fireplace and cleared out the ash and burning embers while Ladder 67’s crew went to the roof and extinguished the fire in the upper portion of the chimney. The Engine and Truck crews vented the structure and returned in service after an hour. Cars 2071, 2072, 2073, E148, L67, T88, and T8 operated.
